V The Ultimate 5th Year Anniversary
Las Vegas, August 27, 2007- “V-The Ultimate Variety Show” is celebrating its fifth year in production on September 12, 2007. “V” originated at the Venetian Hotel in 2002 and moved to the V Theater in 2004 when producer David Saxe bought the venue in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Five years and two million attendees later, “V” is one the most successful shows in Las Vegas. Within the past five years it has made over fifty million dollars and is the only show on the Las Vegas strip to perform two shows a night, seven nights a week. “I came up with the idea of having an entire show filled with variety acts because they are the best part of any show. At one point in their career most of the stars on the strip were specialty acts in other shows. Seigfried and Roy, Lance Burton, and Wayne Newton all performed as a specialty acts before making it on their own. “V” is comprised of the greatest variety acts in the world; each of these performers could easily have their own show”, said Saxe.
To celebrate this tremendous landmark, “V - The Ultimate Variety Show” will be selling $5 tickets to all locals for 5 days, with all of the proceeds going to Opportunity Village. The 5 day, $5 ticket offer will begin on Monday, September 10th until Friday, September 14th, and is available for both performances of “V - The Ultimate Variety Show.”

Over 200 participants showed up for the “Vegas’ Got Talent” open auditions on Friday, August 17th at the V Theater, but only one winner was chosen. The 25-year-old former Olympian and World Championship winner previously performed for Cirque Du Soleil, Madonna and Aerosmith. “Tamara is one of the most amazing performers I have ever seen. She is going to fit in great with the current cast, who I think are the best in the world”, said David Saxe. Yerofeveva will be performing nightly at the V Theater for both the 7:30 pm and 9:00 pm performances of “V-The Ultimate Variety Show”. She will debut her talent this Thursday, August 23, during the morning news on KVBC Channel 3.

Paris does the crime, TV Guy Does the Time!
Depending on whom you talk to in Las Vegas, Paris Hilton is either washed up, an "absolute goddess," or "a political football."
"She's hated," said prop comic Joe Trammel, who spent 21 hours a day most of the last week in a pink jail "cell," spoofing her on the Fremont Street Experience.
"I don't think she'll be able to go out in public again or a walk a red carpet," said Trammel, who said Friday was "pure pandemonium" for him after Hilton was sent back to jail in Los Angeles to serve the remainder of her sentence.
Trammel's spoof, titled "Glamour in the Slammer," is aimed at bringing attention to drunken driving, which started Hilton's legal tailspin.
When Trammel, who performs at the V Theatre (Planet Hollywood Resort), returned to his prop cell on Friday, the reaction was hostile, at first.
"People threw things at me, ice and other things, thinking I was supporting her," said Trammel, who wore a Hilton wig, white oversized sunglasses, prison-striped skirt, pink slippers and had a black-and-white-striped bed cover (with pink sheet, of course).
He went from a zero to hero in seconds, when they realized he was tweaking the limelight-loving socialite.
